COVID-19 Policy
Dear Patients,
In line with the current government guidelines I will be re-opening the clinic on the 14th July 2020 (in a limited capacity). Due to these exceptional circumstances that we are living in, we have to undertake temporary special measures issued by the NHS and the General Osteopathic Council to ensure your safety.
All appointment slots will now be between 45 minutes and an hour long and the room will be empty for a further 45 minutes. The reason for this is that the under the current guidelines from Public Health is that the room has to be left empty to allow for full ventilation and dispersion of any aerosols (breath droplets in the air). This will allow time for the room and surfaces to be thoroughly sterilised with an anti-viral / anti-bacterial lotion and spray.
On the morning of the appointment I will be calling you for a pre-screen triage (risk assessment) and on arrival at the clinic there will be a temperature screening. Please note that we cannot see a patient if they have any symptoms or they have been in contact with someone with symptoms in the last 14 days or any patients that have received a letter to inform them that they are in a high-risk category.
Due to COVID-19, please be advised to bring your own towel or shorts if you require. I can no longer provide a towels or apron to cover you up. I will be wearing full PPE, in line with PPE guidelines, face mask, apron and gloves. Please wear a mask or some kind of face covering.
Unfortunately, under no circumstances will patients be allowed to wait in the waiting area. Upon arrival at the clinic, please remain in your car or outside the building and telephone or text (07830 381 187) to advise me of your arrival. I will then meet you at the front door (at which point you will be offered some alcohol-based hand sanitiser to clean your hands) and take you straight to the treatment room.
A high risk category involves:
If you have any questions please do not hesitate in contacting me on 07830 381 187.
